I am Eva Liu, Juewei Liu, a jewelry product designer. My Chinese name, Juewei, means beautiful jade — my connection to jewelry began with my name. Eastern philosophy, traditional craft, and the possibilities of materials have always been the starting points of my work.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Product Design at China University of Geosciences, followed by a master’s degree in Fashion Management at Parsons School of Design in New York. I have designed jewelry at Coach’s New York headquarters within Tapestry, the Spanish fine pearl jewelry brand GiO, and the emerging contemporary Chinese jewelry brand Bao De Yi. I also founded the fashion jewelry brands SWEET CHILLI and Shanlingsheng. My work spans concept development, three-dimensional modeling, prototyping, and collaboration with production teams and supply-chain manufacturers.
In 2025, I was Creative Director at Shanlingsheng, exploring contemporary Eastern jewelry through lotus forms, the five phases, and natural gemstones. In 2026, my practice extended to luxury phone and earphone design. I am interested in how cultural ideas become considered objects, balancing contemporary expression, a brand’s identity, and the details of making.
Designed phone forms and CMF directions, exploring back-panel composition, camera decoration, surface imagery, and color. The selected work also extends jewelry-inspired styling and CMF concepts to earhook earphones.
Creative direction at Shanlingsheng, exploring contemporary Eastern jewelry through lotus forms, the five phases, natural gemstones, and a cohesive collection presentation.
Designed jewelry in response to merchandising briefs, developed printable models and KeyShot renderings, and worked with production teams on prototypes.
